The L’bardi driving loafer is an iconic menswear staple. Each pair is handmade in our Florence workshop, utilising over 100 individual steps, including hand cutting, hand lasting and hand stitching the upper. The L’bardi driving loafer is constructed upon our softly chiseled last, which defines the shape of each and every pair. The thing that distinguishes the L’bardi driving shoe apart from others, is our hand stitching process, which utilises the original driving shoe construction technique patented in 1963. The original technique involves involves using two needles and an awl to painstaking hand stitch the vamp while the upper is nailed on the last.
